FAQs


Where are the day yoga retreats held?

Beechbrae is a woodland haven and wellbeing space at Beechbrae Wood in Blackridge, West Lothian (near Harthill), a short 35 minute drive from Studio 70.

The woodland centre rests on the edge of a 35 acre woodland with many footpaths winding through the wood connecting you to our wild ponds, community garden, orchard and outdoor kitchen.

Accessible by train and car. If driving, we encourage day retreat students to travel together for community and convenience. Better still, come to the retreat with a friend and enjoy a day of restoration together.

What if I have food allergies/dietary requirements?

We will have a delicious lunch together, more details of which will be supplied for the specific retreats, however we can confirm that there will be Vegan & GF options available.

What’s included in the day? What should I bring?

Specifics of what to expect will be detailed on individual Retreat information pages.

But we can recommend a few things that could support you on the day:

  • A blanket/pillow

  • Yoga mat

  • Cosy jumper and socks

  • Spare/comfy clothes

  • Journal or paper/pen

Will I need to share in the community circle?

You’re welcome to sit back and listen if you don’t want to chat in the community circle. We plan to create a space where you can talk about any insights or experiences that you have during the retreat - however, this is completely optional. You’re invited to trust what works best for you on the day - after all the retreat is a little gift to yourself!

Sacred Self-care. Every time you rest, it is an act of self-care and self-love for your body. Every time you rest, you soothe your nervous system.

We are inviting you to join the slow revolution. Being, not doing is revolutionary.
Unashamedly accepting ourselves is the most powerful thing we can do. Come and journey through a day of connection, rest and community.

Jasmine and Tahlee will guide you through a journey of slow movement, cacao ceremony, guided meditation, journalling, a sound bath and restorative yoga. We will carve out some time to chat truthfully in a safe and open space to keep building this beautiful community.

Schedule for the day

9:30 arrive
10am gentle yoga
10:45 tea break
11am cacao ceremony (ending in deep rest to include restorative poses)
1pm lunch
2:30pm sound bath
3:30pm closing chat

Sound Bath 

Join us for a deep listening experience. Sound Bath Meditation will have you lying down in rest, to listen-in to traditional vibrational sounds. Sound can be a beautiful way to access deep states of rest, with the vibrations of sound stimulating brain waves similar to sleep states. Listening can be a beautiful and accessible way to help anchor thoughts and quieten the mind.

Food

We will have a delicious lunch together provided by Milk Cafe. (Vegan & GF options available).
