Reiki is a holistic therapy, originating from Japan. Yoga and Reiki compliment each other nicely, as they both work with energy systems in the body. In Yoga, we work with "prana" which means "life force. This is particularly noted as the breath. Reiki means "universal life energy". Essentially, Reiki & Prana are defining the same thing. The energy that flows within all beings. Activating it can enhance the healing process within the body.
Choose a thirty minute session, where focus is placed on a particular area or a full body treatment which lasts for an hour. All you need, is loose comfortable clothing. The treatment can be done hands on or off. Your body will absorb the energy it requires, leaving you with a sense of peace and wellbeing.
Reiki can be practiced on any person, at any age. Benefits of Reiki include anxiety management, weight loss, improvement of focus, help with blood pressure and much more. However, it is important to note that Reiki does not replace conventional medical treatment.
